This course trains and develops athletes in a professional organization such as a group of athletes in a team or the individual athlete whether at amateur level or professional on the basics of physical and spiritual fitness, injury prevention, leadership, mental fortitude, stress management and personal growth and development. There are many challenges that come along in life, it doesn't have to stop an individual from continuing to pursue their dreams.
Sometimes, the younger aspiring athlete lacks basic life skills or problem solving skills. They may not have adequate support to make it from amateur to collegiate to professional leagues. Many factors come into play such as financial burden on the individual's family, inability to concentrate on academics and maintain eligibility for school athletics, situations that may be affecting the individual's mental health etc.
Without proper guidance or support, a professional athlete can deviate from their goal in athletics if they don't maintain themselves committed to their career. This is where the Tactical Athlete program comes into play. Our coaches and mentors work with the athletes by providing support in all areas of life and together determine the best course of action to achieve success.
Trains the Athlete on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. With the increase of athletes collapsing during their activities, BLS is an important skill to acquire in order to provide first aid.
Trains the athlete on physical fitness and injury prevention by understanding the kinetic chain, origins and insertions of muscle and tendon, injury prevention, different methods of training for endurance, strength and mass.
Trains the athlete on how to conduct themselves on and off the field by exemplifying their core values and learning how to lead from the front. This section is based on the military's "Be, Know, Do" approach. The athlete will learn how to provide purpose, direction and motivation to their peers.
Trains the athlete on the Warrior Mindset. Thinking too positively or too negatively can be unhealthy. We therefore focus on healthy thinking which entails taking all aspects of a situation and learn how to balance risks vs benefits. The athlete learns self-awareness and mindfulness which can significantly contribute enhancing overall wellness in mental health.
Trains the athlete in identifying stress and stress reactions. Conduct activities that promote healthy thinking and adopting healthy habits as methods of coping with stress when no solution has been found. The athlete also learns conflict resolution and stress mitigation.
Trains the athlete on engaging in personal growth, self-reflection, basic life skills such as managing finances, SMART goal setting, effective communication, resume writing, organizational skills among other topics.
